Project Myemyela - Design Entry

Split into teams, we were given the task of producing a design proposal for the site in Lephepane. Myself and three fellow students worked together enthusiastically to create a innovative, exciting and meticulously detailed competition entry.

With instructions to work around the existing classroom, we developed a small campus that both celebrated the original building whilst also including it in a wider programme of classrooms, a kitchen, dining space and play areas. Our design was driven by our desire to encourage creativity and play within the classroom whilst remaining sensitive to the sustainability, 'buildability' and economic restraints of the project.
